Privacy Policy

1. Overview

EXIF Editor is a photo and video metadata app for iPhone and iPad. Media inspection, editing, and export happen on your device. We do not run an account system, advertising tracker, or analytics service in the app, and we do not upload your selected media to a server operated by us.

2. Media you select

The app accesses only the photos, videos, or files you choose through the system picker. It reads media content and metadata to show details and prepare edits. This can include dates, camera information, descriptions, creator and copyright information, and embedded location coordinates.

Your selections are used to create the edited output you request. The app does not modify the source file. It creates a new copy when you export.

3. Photo Library permissions

Choosing media uses Apple’s system Photos picker or Files picker. When you save an output to Photos, iOS asks for permission to add items to your Photo Library. You can manage this permission in iOS Settings. You may also use the system share menu to save or send an exported file to another destination.

4. Maps and location search

If you open the map or search for a place, the app uses Apple MapKit. Viewing maps may contact Apple to load map content. Place searches require a network connection and send your search terms to Apple’s map service. A selected coordinate can be written into your exported copy if you choose to do so. The app does not request your device’s current location.

Apple handles MapKit service data under its own privacy practices. You can enter coordinates manually without using place search.

5. Storage and sharing

Imported media and exports may be held as temporary files on your device while the app works. iOS may clear temporary storage, and removing the app removes its local app data. Copies you save to Photos, Files, or another app remain there until you remove them using that destination.

If you share an exported file, the destination you choose handles that file under its own terms and privacy practices. The app cannot control how a recipient or destination stores it. Metadata removal is limited by the format and system frameworks; some proprietary data, linked resources, or video track metadata may remain. Check sensitive exports before sharing.

6. This website

This static website does not set cookies, load analytics scripts, or collect information through forms. When hosted, the hosting provider may process standard connection information, such as IP address and request logs, to deliver and secure the site.

7. Your choices and contact

You decide which media to open, which fields to edit or remove, and where to save or share the result. You can remove local app data by deleting the app and manage Photos permission in iOS Settings. Since we do not maintain an app account or receive your media, we do not have a remote media library to access or delete.
